傳說中，Ilmatar (the daughter of the air)放棄了天上的居所，下凡到海洋上，她在海上飄蕩了七世紀之久。後來，有一隻鳥在她的膝上築了巢，無意間一枚小小的蛋不小心滑落，於是蛋的底部變成了大地，頂部是天空，蛋黃是太陽，蛋白變成了月亮，而蛋殼的碎片則變成銀閃閃的星星，就這樣誕生了一整片廣袤無垠的宇宙。
